About Me

Comprehensive experience in the end-to-end development of surgical robots, encompassing R&D through successful prototyping, rigorous animal studies, and cadaver lab testing. Demonstrated a keen understanding of user needs and leveraged technical expertise to drive innovations. Passionate about bridging practical insights with academic pursuits to create impactful solutions.

What's New

  • (Oct, 2023) I joined Medtronic and continue working on a spine surgical robot. While this marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, I also want to reflect on my time at MicroPort. During my time there, my colleagues and I accomplished a great deal. Despite the challenges we faced, we built an exceptional team and made significant strides on a promising project. I’m proud of what we achieved and excited for the future.

  • (Jun, 2023) Successfully passed the Type Test, a critical procedure in the design verification phase.

  • (Oct, 2022) Our team embarked on our first animal lab.

  • (Aug, 2021) Transitioned to a new project, leading the development of a stereo vision-based robotic manipulation system for robotic hair transplantation. This shift was driven by my interest in taking on end-to-end R&D, allowing me to focus on the entire life cycle of surgical robots and push the boundaries of innovation from the ground up.

  • (Mar, 2021) Started working on joint control and kinematics for a teleoperated single-port laparoscopic surgical robot. As the project progressed into the Design Verification phase, I began considering the opportunity to start a new project from scratch, driven by my desire to take on end-to-end R&D in the field of surgical robots.

  • (Dec, 2020) Earned my Master of Science from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (UMN), specializing in robotics.

  • (Jun, 2018) Graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU).
